Notifications

Itefy generates notifications for every user when something requires special attention. Whenever you have unread notifications, the bell icon in the top bar displays a red dot.

Viewing Notifications

Click the bell icon to view your most recent notifications in a dropdown, without navigating away from the current page. The header of the dropdown has buttons to refresh the list and to mark all notifications as read.

Each notification shows a title, a short summary and the time it was generated, and offers the following options:

  • Open: Most notifications are clickable and take you to the relevant record. For example, an overdue checkout notification opens that specific checkout for follow-up.
  • Mark read: Click the check icon to mark a notification as read after reviewing it.
  • Delete: Click the × icon to remove a notification.

The Notifications page

Click View all notifications at the bottom of the dropdown to open the full notifications page. There you can:

  • Switch between All, Unread and Read notifications
  • Filter by area (reservations, checkouts, issues, items, events, contacts)
  • Mark all currently shown unread notifications as read in one click
  • Browse older notifications with the page numbers at the bottom

Urgent notifications are marked with an Urgent badge.

Email Notifications

If unread notifications remain for an extended period based on urgency level, you will receive email notifications. Notifications marked read quickly (within minutes or a few hours depending on type) are not sent via email.
