Comment on issues

Everyone with access to the web app can share information and discuss an issue in its comments. Each issue ticket has its own comment section that is completely isolated from all other comment sections.

To comment, open the issue from one of the issue listings, then select the Comments tab (the tab shows the number of comments). Write your comment and click the send button.

The comment composer supports more than plain text:

  • @-mentions: Type @ (or click the @ button) to mention another user. Mentioned users receive a notification.
  • Images and attachments: Use the image and paperclip buttons to attach pictures or files to a comment — or just paste an image directly into the composer.
  • Links and emoji: Insert links and pick emoji from the toolbar.
  • Formatting: Simple formatting such as **bold**, _italic_ and lists is rendered in the posted comment.

On posted comments you can:

  • Reply: Click Reply to start a thread under a comment. The author of the comment you reply to is notified.
  • Like: Click the like button to give a comment a thumbs-up (click again to remove it).
  • Edit and delete your own comments: Edited comments show an (edited) marker. If you delete a comment, only its content is removed, not the record itself.

Comments can be sorted with Most recent or Oldest first using the sort control above the list.
