Create Records from a Selection

When a checkout, reservation, event or issue involves many items, you don't have to add them one by one — select the items first, then create the record with the whole selection prefilled.

1. Open Items > View items and tick the items using the checkboxes. The selection bar appears at the bottom of the page.
2. Click Create in the selection bar and choose what to create:
   • Check out — opens the new checkout window with the items added
   • Create reservation — opens the new reservation window with the items added (availability is checked as usual)
   • Create event — opens the new event window with the items added
   • Create issue — opens the new issue window with the items added
3. Fill in the rest of the form and save, exactly as when creating the record normally.

When the record is created, Itefy takes you to its page and clears the selection.

A few notes:

• You can select up to 50 items per created record; with a larger selection the Create options are disabled until you narrow it down.
• On the Inventory tab, only Create event and Create issue are offered — inventory items can't be checked out or reserved (see Inventory items).
• You only see the actions you have permission to perform.
