Trial expiry and reactivation
Every new Itefy account starts as a 14-day free trial. The trial is fully featured, but has limited resources (items, users and storage). You can see how many days are left on the account's Manage page, and we send you reminder emails as the end of the trial approaches.
What happens when the trial ends
If no subscription has been started when the trial period ends, the account is locked:
- Opening the account in the web app shows a Trial expired screen instead of your data. If you are the owner, it has a Start a subscription button; other users are asked to contact the account owner.
- On your Accounts page, the account is marked Expired, and the Open button is replaced by Reactivate (for owners and administrators).
Your data is not deleted right away. Everything is kept safe for a grace period — normally 30 days after the trial ended. The exact date is shown as "Data kept until <date>" on the Accounts page and on the Manage page, and we email you a warning before the deletion date. If no subscription has been started by then, the account and all its content are permanently deleted.
Reactivate an expired account
Starting a subscription unlocks the account immediately — everything is exactly as you left it:
- Go to your Accounts page and click Reactivate on the expired account (owners and administrators only). This opens the account's Manage page.
- On the Subscription tab, click Select a plan and follow the normal steps to start a paid subscription.
- As soon as the subscription starts, the lock is lifted and the account opens as normal.
