Perform tasks
From the item page, you can perform the same tasks as from shortcuts on the main dashboard, in addition to a few extra tasks:
- Create new reservation (fixed assets)
- Check out item / check in item (fixed assets)
- Add event (maintenance, purchase notice etc.)
- Change condition
- Change location
- Create new issue ticket
- Change inventory (inventory items)
To perform a task (except inventory change), select the Perform task dropdown button to the upper right at an item page. You only see the tasks your user permissions allow, and the menu is not available for archived or trashed items.
To change inventory, the item must be an inventory item (set under Settings > General). Select the Inventory tab at the item page, then click Change amount and select either Add, Pick or Adjust.
Change condition
An item's condition can either be operative, inoperative, or discarded. To change condition, select Perform task, then Change condition. Select the new condition, add remarks (optional) and save. The item is now marked with the selected condition, and the actual change has been logged and is available both at:
- The item page: Click the Activity tab, then Conditions.
- The condition changes page: Select Logs from the main menu, then Condition changes.
Change location
When moving an item to a new location, the change of location can be logged: At the item page, select Perform task, then Change location. Pick the new location from the list and confirm.
The location change is logged, and can be found both from the item page and at the location changelog page. To see location changes for an item, go to the item page, select the Activity tab, then select Locations. For all items, select Logs > Location changes from the main menu.
