Create event
Events can be created from three locations:
- Events page: Select Events in the main menu, then click the New event button.
- Dashboard: Click the + button on the Events quick-action card.
- Item page: Click Perform task, then Add event.
When creating an event from an item page, the item is automatically added.
Name and classification
Add an event name — a short description of what has been done. This is the text that shows up in the event listings.
Then pick a classification: Maintenance (the default), Inspection, Transport, Repair or Other. The classification color-codes the event in lists and calendars and makes it easy to filter.
Adding Items
One or more items can be added to an event. Select all items that are related to or involved in the event, which is typically maintenance, a periodical task, etc.
Date & time
Select the time and duration for the event.
Expenses
If there are expenses connected to the event, register them here. The expenses are usually registered including VAT.
Tags
Add free-form tags to group and find related events.
Assigned to
If you are registering an event that is performed by another person, select that person (user) in the Assigned to field.
Location
If the event has taken place at a certain location, you can select the location as well.
Description
Add some additional information about the event if needed.
Completing the Event
When done, click Create event.
