Calendar Views

The Reservations, Checkouts, Events and Issues pages can all be switched from the list to a calendar. Use the list/calendar toggle in the toolbar — the active search and filters apply to the calendar too.

The month calendar on the Reservations page.
  • Switch between Month, Week and Day with the buttons in the calendar header.
  • Use the arrows to step forwards and backwards, and Today to jump back to the current date.
  • In the week and day views, the time grid scrolls to working hours automatically; entries that span whole days sit in the all-day row at the top.

Reading the calendar

Each entry is a colored bar with the record's name and thumbnails of the first items (a +N counter indicates more). Click a bar to open the record; on reservations, hovering a bar also reveals a pencil that opens it straight in edit mode.

The colors mean different things per page:

  • Reservations and events are colored by their classification (usage, maintenance, repair, …). Completed reservations are shown faded, so open bookings stand out.
  • Checkouts are amber while items are out, red when overdue, and green once returned.
  • Issues appear as a single-day marker on their deadline (or on the day they were created, if no deadline is set): amber for open, indigo for in progress, red when past the deadline, green when closed.

When a day is full

The month view shows a limited number of bars per day. If there is more activity, a +N more link appears — click it to drill into the day view for that date and see everything.
