Add, pick and adjust inventory
If you have a stack of consumables that you need to keep track of, add it as an inventory item: choose the Inventory item type when adding the item, or convert an existing item under item settings. Inventory items are listed on the Inventory tab of the items page.
On the item page, the Inventory tab shows the current amount (with the item's unit, if one is set) and the full change history.
Whenever consumables are added to or picked from the stack, log the change from the Inventory tab:
Add inventory to the stack
- Select the Inventory tab
- Click the Change amount button, then select Add
- Enter the quantity added to the stack, add some remarks (optional), then click Save.
Pick inventory from the stack
- Select the Inventory tab
- Click the Change amount button, then select Pick
- Enter the quantity picked from the stack, add some remarks (optional, usually what the inventory is being used for), then click Save.
Adjust inventory
If you for any reason need to correct the inventory number to match the actual stack — for example after a physical count — you can make an adjustment.
- Select the Inventory tab
- Click the Change amount button, then select Adjust
- Enter the new total amount, add some remarks (optional, usually the reason for the adjustment), then click Save.
For a brand new inventory item with no history yet, the Inventory tab shows a Set initial amount button that opens the same adjustment form.
